SPOKANE, Wash.—The music video Macklemore shot in Spokane in July using local extras was released Thursday on YouTube by Ryan Lewis.
"Downtown" features scenes appropriately shot in Downtown Spokane.
Ryan Lewis posted the video featuring Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee, Grandmaster Caz and Eric Nally. Lewis is a Spokane native who attended Ferris High School.
The Seattle-based rapper, Macklemore came to Spokane the month before the video release. The video shoot closed streets and called on the help of locals. He was looking for people with a license to operate a moped, scooter or motorcycle, according to his Facebook page.
On July 23, hundreds lined up on Sprague outside the Fox Theater for a chance to be in Macklemore's new video.
