Comic fans are set to gather at the Spokane Convention Center June 1 and 2.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Calling all comic lovers! The 18th annual Lilac City Comicon is coming to Spokane this weekend at the Spokane Convention Center.

On Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2, comic fans will gather for the largest comic book and pop culture shop in Eastern Washington, which will include special guests like Spokane native Dmitrious Bistrevsky, who played Darth Vader in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi, Emily Swallow from The Mandalorian, WWE Hall of Fame Wrestler Sgt. Slaughter and Erica Shroeder, voice actor in One Piece & Pokémon.

The Lilac City Comicon has over 300 exhibitors and artists that will sell a multitude of comics, collectibles, toys and more. There will also be a Costume Cosplay contest for adults at 5 p.m. on Saturday and for kids at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Comicon will also be collecting non-perishables that will benefit Our Place Community Outreach, and 25% of all merchandise sales will benefit the Jesse Acosta Memorial Art Scholarship Fund for incoming students at Spokane Falls Community College.
