SPOKANE, Wash. — Premiering on March 13, you can watch Spokane resident Juan Villa compete with his best friend Shane Bilek in "The Amazing Race." Bilek is from Marine City, Mich. Both competitors are 29 and are Air Force pilots.
Another local team is mother-son duo, Angie Butler from Walla Walla, Wash. and Danny from San Diego, Calif. Danny is a 27-year-old university resident director and Angie is a 55-year-old seventh grade teacher.
The TV show will follow 13 teams as they compete in the 36th race around the world.
CBS said, "This Season Features a Former NFL Player Competing with His Wife, Rod and Leticia; Firefighter Moms Sunny and Bizzy; Military Pilots Juan and Shane; Twin Brothers Anthony and Bailey; Among Others"
The racers will travel around the world and compete in a series of challenges (mental and physical), when completed, competitors can move on to their next location.
"The locations that teams will travel to include Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Barbados, Dominican Republic and Pennsylvania state, where the first team to cross the final finish line will be crowned the winner of THE AMAZING RACE and win the $1 million prize."
