SPOKANE, Wash. — Halloween is getting closer, which means more spooky events are headed to the Inland Northwest!
Our region is getting a solar eclipse and cooler temperatures, but there are plenty of exciting events happening around Spokane and North Idaho.
Check out some of the events happening below:
Annular Solar Eclipse Viewing Party
- When: Saturday, Oct. 14 | 8-11 a.m.
- Where: The Tribal Gathering Place, Spokane, Wash.
- Admission: Free
Ready for the solar eclipse? Riverfront Park is partnering with the Mobius Discovery Center to host an annular solar eclipse viewing party! They'll also give out free eclipse viewing glasses to the first 200 attendees. The event will have hands-on activities and demos about the eclipse for everyone to enjoy.

Halloween X-Spo
- When: Oct. 14 - Oct. 15 | 10 a.m.
- Where: Spokane Convention Center, in Spokane, Wash.
- Admission: Tickets range from $5 to $25
Formerly Lake City Comicon, the Halloween X-Spo is kicking off the spooky season in Spokane. The event has exhibitions, local artists, a costume contest and more activities. Attendees can bring canned food and non-perishable food for a chance to win valuable prizes.

Great Pumpkin Race & Family Carnival
- When: Saturday, Oct. 14 | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Where: Riverfront Park, in Spokane, Wash.
- Admission: Free
Riverfront Park is turning into a carnival for the Great Pumpkin Race! Gather family and friends to wheel some pumpkins to the finish line to win. The race will have a costume parade, prizes, a vendor fair and food for attendees.

Autumn on the Ave
- When: Saturday, Oct. 14 | 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Where: Sprague Union District, in Spokane, Wash.
- Admission: Free
The Sprague Union District is hosting its Autumn on the Ave for 2023 year! From face painting, games cotton candy and more, these events will help kick your family into the fall mood.

Monster Mash Night Market & Street Fair

- Where: Runge Furniture Company, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

More than 36 Coeur d'Alene and Spokane vendor, artists and musicians are stopping at the Monster Mash Night Market in Coeur d'Alene. The event will have a Haunted House fear-room attraction for guests too! It's the last market for Coeur d'Alene's Night Market season!

Trunk or Treat

- Where: Regulate Youth Services, Coeur d'Alene, ID

Find a treat a local Trunk or Treat! Regulate Youth Services is hosting a Trunk or Treat to celebrate the Halloween season. Marshall from Paw Patrol is making a live appearance! To register a car for the trunk or treat, email Regulate.PF@gmail.com.

Dogtober
- When: Sunday, Oct. 15 | 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Where: Coeur d'Alene Cider Company, Coeur d'Alene Idaho
- Admission: Free | $5 entry fee for dog show
Get the dogs out for the Dogtober Costume Contest! The event will have cider, beer, hotdogs and an off-leash area for dogs. Don't forget the costume contest with plenty of fun categories.
