Great Outdoors Comedy Festival boasts big-name and local comedians

The festival brings big-name and local comedians to Spokane for the weekend starting Friday, August 23.

SPOKANE, Wash. — ONE Spokane Stadium is preparing to host the three-day Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, an event that boasts big-name and local comedians.

The Spokane Public Facilities began setting up for the event on Thursday, August 22 and says the setup will be different from the most recent music festival.

On Friday, August 23, Tom Segura will kick off the event with Jessica Kirson and Kirk Fox.

On Saturday, the evening is headlined by Shane Gillis but local comedian Kelsey Cook, who attended Cheney High School, will also be performing.

Nate Marshall and James McCann will also be performing on Saturday.

The event closes out on Sunday evening with Kevin Hart, Na’im Lynn, Spank Horton and Joey Wells.

During Hart's performance, the use of phones, smart watches and accessories will not be permitted. Guests at his show will be given a pouch to put devices in and will be required by staff to secure the pouch. Guests will keep their devices with them but will be escorted out of the event if seen using a device.

For those with VIP tickets, doors open at 6:00 p.m. on each day. For regular ticket holders, doors open at 6:30 p.m. and shows start at 7:30 p.m.

The exact show times for each comedian will not be posted in advance, so festival staff recommends that people arrive early.

Tickets can be purchased here.

ONE Spokane Stadium is implementing a no-bag policy for the festival. Only small clutches, wallets and diaper bags if a child is present will be allowed into the stadium.
