Nicole Hernandez started at KREM 2 News as a reporter in June 2019 after finishing her masters degree in Mass Communications at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School in Phoenix.
While at ASU, Nicole worked as a reporter for the news division of Arizona PBS and interned at the Phoenix NBC affiliate 12 News as a photographer. She has a passion for telling compelling stories using creative visuals and sound, and she really enjoys meeting the amazing people in this community.
Nicole is from San Diego, but loves the trees in the Inland Northwest. Beyond the newsroom, Nicole loves spending time doing still photography, rock climbing and playing with her orange kitten, Chester. She also loves trying all of the local restaurants, because who doesn’t love food... right?!
