Jen York joined KREM 2 News in November of 2010 as a news and digital media producer. She moved to her current role of KREM morning and noon news anchor in September 2014.
Prior to joining the news team, Jen worked as a writer for Northwest Cable News in Seattle. While there, she covered a wide range of stories from across Northwest and nationally including the 2008 presidential election and the Lakewood police officer shootings.
Jen graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis on Broadcast Journalism. While in school, she worked as an anchor, reporter, and producer for Cable 8 News at Washington State University. Jen is an alumni member of the Alpha Phi sorority.
Jen was born and raised in Eastern Washington. Outside of the newsroom, she loves to travel and spend time with family. During a college essay writing contest, Jen was narrowed down to the top 30 out of over 2,000 candidates to drive the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile for a job. Though she ultimately did not get the gig, she did come away with dozens of wiener whistles.
