SPOKANE, Wash. — Cristian Garza joined the KREM 2 team as a multi-skilled journalist in August 2024.
Cristian fell in love with journalism while he was a student at Washington State University. Later graduating with a bachelor's degree in journalism and media production.
Cristian began his news career in 2021 as a producer at KNDU in Tri-Cities, Washington. Since then, he has grown into a swiss army knife in journalism, being able to fill-in for any show in any role that was asked of him.
Originally from Othello, Washington, Cristian has lived in Eastern/Central all of his life and is proud to represent not only his community but his Latino heritage here in the second-largest city in the state of Washington.
When he’s not at work, Cristian enjoys spending time with his dog Gizmo, trying different recipes in the kitchen and going to concerts or musicals.
