SPOKANE, Wash. — The Axtell’s made a commitment early on in their marriage to stay close to the family ranch and raise their children on the family farm. Their four boys all take part in helping on the farm and ranch. They love this lifestyle and enjoy sharing it with others.
Being a grain farmer, Casey learned the importance of being diversified through the years. A dream of his was to take out the middleman and sell his cattle direct to the consumer.
The Axtells are committed to raising quality meats that you can trust and know where your product comes from. They have a passion for feeding other families and bringing you the most flavorful meat in the area, from their ranch to your family.
The family raises all of their cattle from birth to butcher, using registered Red Angus bulls that are hand-picked for their marbling content and structure.
They butcher all their cattle at 17-22 months to provide tender, quality meat.
They strive to create a happy and stress-free home for all of their livestock.
They take pride in the livestock's nutrition and care all year long.
Axtell Land and Livestock runs cattle through lush grass pastures six months out of the year. In the winter, the Cattle arrive back to the ranch and are fed a mixture of grass and alfalfa hay. They produce their own barley feed and hay to ensure the quality of the feed given to their animals. They also dry age their beef for up to 21 days to ensure consistency. They believe this will allow their customers to receive the most flavorful tender meat.
All of their meat is processed in a USDA-certified facility that follows a strict safety and quality inspection before it ever reaches your plate.
