SPOKANE, Wash. – The concrete wall in the Synagogue's enclosed courtyard at Temple Beth Shalom on the South Hill was vandalized during the holiest day of the year for the Jewish community.
Rabbi Tamar Malino said a swastika was painted on a concrete wall during Yom Kippur service.
The offensive mark has already been removed but the Rabbi Malino said she was deeply saddened and angered about the incident.
"They're taking every security precaution to keep the building, and all who enter it, safe," said Rabbi Tamar Malino.
She says they are working with police and they are currently reviewing security footage.
