Rain hits this weekend but you probably won't notice it

A quick-moving round of showers moves through Saturday night and is gone by Sunday morning.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Friday serves as a taste of what is to come as we head into the weekend. More sunshine and warmer temperatures await. While Saturday offers in the 60s, Sunday winds up looking a lot like Friday with a simple shift in wind direction.

Thanks to clear skies and calm wind, Saturday morning starts out cold. Almost Identical to where the past few mornings began. But by the afternoon highs climb back into the 60s for the first time since we saw the 70s last weekend. We will see some high clouds move through in the afternoon, those come ahead of our next chance of rain.

The rain arrives Saturday night and moves out by the time the sun comes up Sunday morning. It doesn't look like much and it moves out in time for another day of sunshine on Sunday. Sunday does look eerily similar to Friday. Wind about as strong, temps about the same, and the same amount of sunshine. The only difference is that the wind will be out of the west instead of the east.

Next week starts sunny and warm across the northwest, Monday and Tuesday offer highs back in the 60s. Spring weather is here. In fact, our average last day with temperatures below freezing in Spokane is April 29th. We're basically there.
