SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Indians clinched the Northwest League North division and a playoff spot by beating the Everett AquaSox 5-4 on Sunday in comeback fashion.

The Indians trailed 3-0 going into the top of the seventh inning. That's when Indians third baseman Jonah McReynolds and left fielder Obie Ricumstrict hit back to back singles that batted in three RBIs in the inning.

Everett would get back up 4-3 going into the top of the eight inning, but Spokane responded again, specifically McReynolds again. He hit a grounder to left field to drive in two more runs and the Indians never gave up the lead.

With the win, the Indians clinched a playoff spot by winning the division in the first half of the season, which is part of the split season format the NWL goes by.

It's the fourth consecutive season the Indians will be in the playoffs.

Since the Indians are the first half division winners, they have a week to decide whether to host Game 1 or Games 2 and 3 of its divisional round series. However the Indians have confirmed to KREM 2 that they will be letting fans know in the next few days.
