SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police said a man who was involved in an argument in Downtown Tuesday evening had a medical emergency.
Officials said officer were on scene at the 7-Eleven on Division and found a man in the parking lot who was not responsive and not breathing. Officers performed life saving measures on the man, which included administering NARCAN for a possible drug overdose. They also did CPR on him until medics showed up. He was then transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities said while officer were investigating the incident, several people came forward and told them the man had been involved in an argument across the street. Officers said he ran away from the location and collapsed in the 7-Eleven parking lot.
Officers said there is no indication that violence caused the man to collapse and they believe he had a medical issue.
