SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.-- A small brush fire in Spokane Valley at 5255 North Fruit Hill Road Saturday afternoon has been controlled, Spokane fire officials said.
Officials said the fire reached about 15 acres. A few structures were threatened, but crews were able to protect them.
The Department of Natural Resources took over the area at about 6 p.m. and worked containing the flames. There was no word on how much of the flames had been contained as of Saturday night.
There is still no information on the cause.
