KELLOGG, Idaho – Idaho State Police said a kidnapping suspect was arrested after a pursuit on I-90 near Kellogg on Monday afternoon.
ISP leaders said they received a call around 11:25 a.m. about a woman and two children who were kidnapped. Troopers were able to locate the vehicle near Cataldo and attempted to stop the car.
According to a release, the car traveled at speeds between 60 to 100 mph. Officials said they used spike strips three times to slow the vehicle before it ran off the road near milepost 71 on Interstate 90. Officials said they deflated three wheels but the car continued. The car drove into the opposing travel lane for several miles until it was brought to a stop in the Mullan area after driving off the road into a snow bank.
The suspect, Rodney Bradley, 28, of Spokane Valley, was arrested for kidnapping and eluding.
There were two children and another adult inside of the car at the time of the chase; none of them were hurt during the incident, Shoshone County Sheriff's Office officials wrote in a release.
ISP leaders said during the pursuit, ISP dispatchers stayed on the phone with the adult victim in the car while his partner passed on vital information to the pursuing troopers and deputies.
