SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Detectives with Spokane County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) are investigating a body found in the Spokane River near Seven Mile Road.
According to sheriff's office, callers first reported the body floating in the water around 2 p.m. on Thursday. SCSO said the body was in the water for some time before it was recovered.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office will release the name of the person, along with the cause of death at a later time.
SCSO is actively investigating the incident at this time. This story will be updated as more information is made available.
