SPOKANE, Wash. —  A student at Eastern Washington University was chosen to perform on stage with country star Carrie Underwood during the Spokane stop of her “Cry Pretty Tour.”

Brooke Henderson entered the Carrie Underwood Fan Club’s “The Champion Rap Contest.” The application process included recording a video of yourself performing the full rap from Underwood’s song “The Champion.”

On May 19, Henderson found out that she was the lucky fan selected for Underwood’s Spokane appearance.

“DREAMS COME TRUE BUT I ALSO WANNA THROW UP,” she tweeted.

Before Henderson left the stage, Underwood said the two needed to document the “momentous occasion” and took a selfie.

On Twitter, Henderson said she had the “time of her life” on Wednesday.

“How did this happen?!?! ON CLOUD 9!!!” she added.

Judging by her Twitter feed, Henderson is a longtime fan of Underwood. Last summer, she was invited to the singer’s Fan Club party in Tennessee.

"If you know me, you know how much this means to me. I have looked up to Carrie for the longest time and have always dreamt (sic) of meeting her one day to tell her that!" Henderson wrote on her Facebook page.

KREM has reached out to Henderson to talk about her experience and is awaiting a response.

Underwood announced her “Cry Pretty Tour” dates in August as she welcomed her second child with husband Mike Fisher.
